Effective Date: June 12, 2026
Welcome to Fostering the Connection.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of fosteringtheconnection.com, including its pages, forms, resources, downloadable materials, registrations, products, and services.
The website is operated by Fostering the Connection LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. Throughout these Terms, “Fostering the Connection,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Fostering the Connection LLC.
By accessing or using this website, submitting a form, registering for an event or training, purchasing a product or service, or downloading a resource, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website.

Information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes. Additional terms may apply to individual contracts, training programs, speaking engagements, consulting projects, events, memberships, or purchases.
If a separate written agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the separate written agreement will control for that particular service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a product or service, enter into a consulting or speaking agreement, or submit a request on behalf of an organization.
Individuals under 18 may use publicly available educational content only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Educational Content
Our website, trainings, presentations, courses, resources, and downloadable materials are intended to provide general education and practical information.
They are not a substitute for individualized advice from a licensed attorney, physician, mental-health provider, social worker, therapist, child-welfare professional, tax adviser, or other qualified professional.
Using our website or educational materials does not create a professional-client, therapeutic, legal, social-work, fiduciary, or confidential relationship.
Please review our separate Disclaimer for additional information.
4. Training Hours and Certificates
Certain trainings may include a certificate of completion showing the participant’s name, course title, date, and instructional hours.
A certificate of completion does not automatically guarantee that a licensing agency, employer, professional board, school system, government agency, or credentialing organization will accept the training for continuing education, professional development, foster-parent relicensing, or another requirement.
Unless a course is expressly identified in writing as approved by a specific agency or credentialing body, participants are responsible for confirming eligibility with their supervising agency, licensing worker, employer, board, or other approving authority before purchasing or attending.
Fostering the Connection does not represent that it is a licensing agency, accrediting organization, university, clinical provider, or governmental authority.
5. Speaking, Consulting, and Custom Services
Submitting an inquiry, contact form, or speaker-request form does not guarantee:
-
Availability
-
Acceptance of the engagement
-
A particular speaker or consultant
-
A quoted price
-
A reserved date
-
A completed agreement
An engagement is not confirmed until all required documents are signed and any required deposit or payment has been received.
Scope, scheduling, fees, travel, cancellations, ownership of custom materials, confidentiality, and other project terms may be addressed in a separate agreement.
6. Event and Training Registration
Registration requirements, schedules, locations, formats, speakers, and availability may vary by event.
We may make reasonable changes to:
-
Presenters
-
Session topics
-
Event schedules
-
Venues
-
Virtual platforms
-
Materials
-
Program formats
If we cancel an event, our responsibility will generally be limited to the refund or credit described in the applicable registration policy. We are not responsible for travel, lodging, missed work, childcare, transportation, or other expenses unless expressly agreed in writing.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and comply with event rules. We reserve the right to remove a participant whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, harassing, or harmful to others.
7. Prices and Payments
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not affect a completed purchase unless there was an obvious error.
You agree to provide accurate and complete billing and contact information. Payments may be processed through third-party providers subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, bank charges, or currency-conversion costs.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Digital Products
Because digital products are delivered electronically and cannot be physically returned, digital-product purchases are generally final and nonrefundable once the file, link, course, or resource has been accessed or delivered, except where required by law.
If you experience a technical issue, contact us so we can attempt to assist you.
Trainings and Events
Refund, transfer, and cancellation terms for a training, workshop, symposium, or event will be stated on the applicable registration page or confirmation.
Unless another policy is displayed, requests to cancel should be submitted in writing to camille@fosteringtheconnection.com.
Consulting and Speaking Services
Deposits, installment payments, travel costs, cancellation fees, and refunds for consulting or speaking engagements will be governed by the applicable signed agreement.
Service Provider Cancellations
If Fostering the Connection must cancel or materially reschedule a paid service, we may provide a replacement date, substitute service, credit, or refund as appropriate.
